SPECIAL RESOURCE: Teacher Resources

Teacher Resources

Everyone knows that What’sHerName loves teachers. So we at the podcast (especially our brilliant and dedicated interns Livia Follet and Catie Boucher) have been hard at work creating brand-new curriculum materials for educators hoping to integrate the podcast into their teaching! We hope to release our first full lesson plans – for High School, Middle School, and College levels – in early 2023!

But for now, remember that you can filter all of our episodes using the “categories” menu in the left column of our main homepage (at the bottom of the website on mobile) to find all the episodes that match any given lesson’s needs. You can also find all of our episodes with transcripts available at this link – we’re adding new transcripts every month! And our YouTube episodes are especially easy to embed in Canvas and other ed platforms.

We also want to share the quick curated list of History Podcast teacher resources we threw together in early 2020 to help with the “early-pandemic” transition to online education. Looking for good, classroom-appropriate history podcasts to incorporate into your curriculum? This ever-evolving list contains episodes from a variety of classroom-appropriate history podcasts, and is filtered by era, topic, region, class, and grade level to help you locate useful history podcast resources quickly and easily! (If you want to add your pod, or you know another great classroom-friendly history pod who you think should be included, please let us know.)
